CTD Sindh, Intelligence Agencies Arrest 5 Militants Linked to TTP and Al-Qaeda in Subcontinent

Karachi: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Sindh, in collaboration with federal intelligence agencies, conducted joint operations in Karachi and arrested **five operatives of banned outfits** linked to **Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)** and **Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS)**.
According to a CTD spokesperson, **two TTP terrorists**, identified as **Allah Noor and Sarfaraz**, and **three AQIS operatives**, named **Saleem, Jahanzaib, and Imdadullah**, were apprehended during intelligence-based operations in **Manghopir (District West)** and **near KMC Sports Complex on Kashmir Road (District East)**.
Authorities recovered **illegal weapons** from the suspects, which have been sent for forensic testing. The spokesperson added that the arrested individuals had received **militant training from a neighboring country** and were allegedly planning terrorist activities in Karachi.
Cases under **illegal possession of arms** have been registered against the suspects at the CTD police station, while further investigation is underway.
