Construction of “Battle of Truth” Memorial Begins in Islamabad to Commemorate Victory Against India

Islamabad: The construction of the **“Ma‘raka-e-Haq” (Battle of Truth) Memorial** has officially begun in **Sector H-8, Islamabad**, to honor Pakistan’s remarkable victory against Indian aggression.
According to sources, the memorial is being built in an existing park, which will be transformed into a **modern and attractive public landmark**. The design theme of the monument is inspired by the **Qur’anic verse “Bunyan Marsoos” (a wall of solid lead)**, symbolizing the nation’s **unshakable unity and collective resolve** against any threat.
The **Frontier Works Organization (FWO)** has been entrusted with the memorial’s design and construction, while the **Capital Development Authority (CDA)** has handed over the designated land for the project.
The initiative follows the **special directive of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif**, with full government funding. The Prime Minister unveiled the memorial’s design on the night between **August 13 and 14**, after which the project was expedited.
Officials confirmed that **internationally approved materials and high construction standards** are being applied to ensure durability and grandeur. The “Battle of Truth” Memorial is envisioned as a **symbol of national pride, sacrifice, and unity**, serving as a reflection of Pakistan’s collective resilience.
Once completed, the memorial will not only commemorate the nation’s historic victory but also stand as a **prestigious addition to Islamabad’s landscape** and a **lasting tribute to Pakistan’s spirit of solidarity**.
