Floods Displace Hundreds in Lahore’s Chuhng and Surrounding Areas

Lahore:Heavy flooding from the **Ravi River** has inundated **Chuhng and nearby localities**, forcing a large number of residents to leave their homes. Streets and lanes have turned into streams as water entered residential areas.

Victims said the floodwaters rose so quickly that they had **no time to retrieve essential belongings**. Many families are trying, on a self-help basis, to salvage whatever household items they can from submerged houses.

Floodwaters also entered a **private housing society near Chuhng**, where several feet of water damaged valuable property. Some blocks of the society have been **completely sealed off** due to safety concerns.

Authorities are yet to provide an official estimate of the number of displaced families.
