Cloudy Weather and Light Rain Expected in Karachi Amid Weakening Monsoon System

Karachi: Despite the weakening of the current monsoon system, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast mostly cloudy weather and the possibility of light rain in Karachi over the coming days.

According to the PMD’s Early Warning Forecast, **light rainfall is expected in the city from today through Tuesday**, with the sky likely to remain mostly overcast on **Sunday and Monday**, and **cloudy and humid conditions anticipated on Tuesday**.

The maximum temperature in Karachi is expected to range between **29°C to 31°C today and tomorrow**, and between **30°C to 32°C on Tuesday**.

Elsewhere in Sindh, **Tharparkar, Badin, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, and Sanghar** may experience rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms. **Qambar Shahdadkot, Dadu, Larkana, Sukkur, Jacobabad, and Ghotki** are also likely to see **light to moderate rainfall with thunder**.

In terms of river conditions, **Guddu Barrage is currently experiencing a high flood**, while **Sukkur and Kotri Barrages** are witnessing **moderate and normal flows**, respectively.

It is worth noting that the **next spell of monsoon rain in Karachi is predicted to begin from August 27**.
