Sindh Government Launches Free Electric Motorcycle Scheme for Women, Registration Now Open

Karachi:The Sindh government has officially launched a new initiative under the Workers Welfare Board to provide **10,000 free electric motorcycles** to women, aiming to offer safer, more dignified, and independent travel options. The initiative is part of a broader effort to empower women and contribute to their social and economic development.

Sindh Labour Minister **Shahid Thaheem** emphasized that women make up half of the country’s population and their progress is essential for national development. He noted that the project’s goal is not only to provide convenience but also to empower women in the workforce.

The registration process has already begun, and women can apply through the **official website** of the Workers Welfare Board at [https://emotorcycle.wwbs.gos.pk/](https://emotorcycle.wwbs.gos.pk/). The selection will be made through a **fully digital lottery system**, ensuring complete transparency and eliminating any human intervention.

The program is open to **industrial female workers aged between 20 to 45 years**, with a **20% quota reserved for minorities**. Applicants will also be given a **60-day grace period** to obtain a driving license after their registration.
