Shandana Gulzar Criticizes “Pole Election”, Says PTI Founder’s Decisions Must Be Accepted

Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shandana Gulzar has strongly criticized the recent elections, terming them a “pole election” and emphasizing the need for someone to speak up for Pakistan and its Constitution.

Speaking to *Geo News* in Islamabad, Gulzar said, “This was a pole election — people who were completely unknown have entered the assemblies under the founder’s name.” She expressed gratitude for not being a part of PTI’s political or core committees but stated she is a member of the parliamentary committee and accepts all decisions made by the party founder.

Highlighting the PTI founder’s decision to appoint Mahmood Khan Achakzai as the opposition leader, Gulzar said it was based on the need for someone who could speak the truth and defend Pakistan openly. “If the PTI founder has made a decision, there is no need to be narrow-minded about it,” she added.

She further criticized those within the party who fought over tickets, saying they should be ashamed. “It’s not about positions right now. All PTI MNAs and senators must accept the founder’s decisions. Whether the decisions are right or wrong, time will tell. But it’s not our place to oppose them,” Gulzar concluded.

She stressed unity within PTI and reiterated that the parliamentary party must stand by the founder’s decisions.
