CCTV Footage Surfaces Showing Journalist Khawar Hussain’s Final Moments Before Mysterious Death

Sanghar: A video has surfaced showing the final moments before the mysterious death of Khawar Hussain, a Karachi-based journalist associated with a private news channel, whose body was found inside his car on Hyderabad Road in Sanghar two days ago.
According to police officials, the journalist’s death is currently being treated as a possible suicide based on initial post-mortem findings. The bullet wound to his head was reportedly caused by his own licensed pistol. The car’s windows were found closed, and no signs of forced entry or struggle were reported.
Investigators have collected CCTV footage, fingerprints, and other forensic evidence from the scene. Call Data Records (CDRs) are being re-obtained within 24 hours to further assist the investigation.

Police say CCTV footage shows Khawar Hussain parking his vehicle, entering a nearby restaurant twice, and then returning to sit in his car shortly before his death. Two eyewitnesses confirmed seeing him walking to and from the restaurant, but no gunshots were heard.
In response to the case, a special investigation committee has been formed under the supervision of Additional IG CTD Azad Khan. The committee has been directed to submit its findings to the Sindh Inspector General within two days.
Meanwhile, Khawar Hussain’s body has been transferred to a mortuary in Hyderabad for further examination. His vehicle and weapon have been sent for forensic testing. Authorities await the full post-mortem report for conclusive evidence.
