CM Ali Amin Gandapur Announces Rs 2 Million Compensation for Families of Buner Flood Victims

Buner: Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, has announced financial compensation of Rs 2 million per family for those who lost their lives in the recent floods in Buner. The announcement was made during his visit to flood-affected areas of the district.
According to private news channel *Dunya News*, the Chief Minister visited the areas devastated by a cloudburst and reviewed the flood damage as well as ongoing relief operations. Speaking to the media, Gandapur said the provincial government stands with the affected people in this difficult time.
PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister and the provincial government for supporting the people of Buner during this crisis.
A meeting was also held at the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Buner to discuss the flood situation and ongoing relief efforts. The meeting was attended by provincial ministers, assembly members, the Chief Secretary, and district officials. A detailed briefing revealed that 5,380 houses across 7 village councils in Buner were damaged. So far, 209 people have died, 134 are missing, and 159 have been injured.
Chief Minister Gandapur is scheduled to continue his tour of flood-hit areas for a second day today. He stated that restoring road access to affected areas is the top priority. Additional helicopters have been requested from the aviation department for relief operations.
The loss of life cannot be compensated, but we will do everything to cover the financial losses,” said Gandapur, assuring that flood victims will not be left alone in their time of need.
