Pakistan Refinery Limited Announces 15-Day Regeneration Shutdown

Karachi: Pakistan Refinery Limited (PRL) has announced a 15-day regeneration shutdown starting from **August 17, 2025**, for maintenance and technical overhaul of its plant. The company has officially informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) of the decision.
According to the notice submitted to PSX, all production at the refinery will be suspended during this period to carry out necessary upkeep and technical servicing.
Industry experts suggest that the temporary shutdown may cause **partial disruption in the supply chain** of oil and petroleum products across the country. However, the planned maintenance is considered essential for the refinery’s long-term operational efficiency.
