Pro-Pakistan Posters Surface in Occupied Kashmir Despite Heavy Indian Military Presence

SRINAGAR:In a bold expression of defiance, **pro-Pakistan posters** and banners were displayed across **occupied Kashmir**, celebrating **Pakistan’s Independence Day** as a **”Day of Gratitude”**, despite the heavy deployment of Indian occupation forces in the valley.

According to **Kashmir Media Service**, posters featuring the **Pakistani flag**, along with images of **Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah**, **Allama Iqbal**, and **Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir**, were seen at various locations in the valley. The posters also carried messages such as **”Operation Bunyān Marsūs”**, symbolizing resistance and solidarity.

The **All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC)** has called for a **complete shutdown** in the valley on **August 15**, India’s Independence Day, to be observed as a **”Black Day”** in protest against Indian occupation.

In a statement, the APHC said, *“For Kashmiris, August 15 is not a day of celebration but a day of mourning and oppression.”* The Hurriyat leadership emphasized that **Kashmiris see Pakistan as their benefactor** and **India as a brutal occupying force**.

The statement also extended **heartfelt congratulations** to the people of Pakistan on their Independence Day, declaring August 14 as a **”Day of Gratitude”** for Kashmiris. The Hurriyat leaders affirmed their prayers for **Pakistan’s peace, prosperity, and continued support for the Kashmiri cause**.
