Deadline for Security-Featured Number Plates in Sindh Extended to October 31 on Bilawal Bhutto’s Instructions

Karachi:On the directives of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the deadline for installing security-featured number plates on vehicles in Sindh has been extended from August 14 to October 31.
The decision came after a meeting between Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Sindh Minister for Excise and Taxation, Mukesh Kumar Chawla. During the meeting, Chawla informed the PPP chairman that the campaign to update vehicle number plates under the Safe City Project in Sindh has been accelerated. He added that the introduction of these security-enhanced plates would significantly improve the province’s overall security situation.
Bilawal Bhutto directed the minister to extend the deadline in view of public convenience. Following the instructions, the Excise and Taxation Department officially announced the extension, and a notification has been issued accordingly.
