Imran Khan’s Release Possible Within an Hour, But He Won’t Make a Deal: Asad Qaiser

PTI Leader Says Peaceful Protest Planned for August 5

Swabi: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Asad Qaiser has stated that party founder Imran Khan could be released within an hour, but he refuses to enter into any deal for his freedom.
Addressing a press conference in Swabi, Qaiser said that all preparations for the planned protest on August 5 have been completed. He emphasized that the protest would remain peaceful and within the bounds of the Constitution and law.
“August 5 is the day our party founder was arrested. We want a fair and merit-based trial in all his cases,” he said. Qaiser also criticized the recent convictions of PTI leaders Shibli Faraz, Zartaj Gul, and others, calling them unjust.
Commenting on rumors regarding Imran Khan’s reported statement about performance-related resignations, Qaiser said there has been no confirmation that Imran Khan asked any chief minister to resign over poor performance.
He further stated, “We want to trade with the world, but our resources should not be handed over to others. The trade routes through Afghanistan must be opened to safeguard the economy.”
Qaiser reiterated PTI’s commitment to peaceful political struggle and emphasized the need for constitutional justice and economic sovereignty.
