Pakistan and USA Sign Landmark Trade Agreement: A New Era of Economic Cooperation

Islamabad: A significant trade agreement between Pakistan and the United States has been finalized, marking a major advancement in bilateral relations. This deal, facilitated with the support of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), will open new avenues for economic collaboration.
Under this agreement, Pakistan’s largest oil refining company, Cnergyico, has partnered with American company Vitol. This deal will allow Pakistani products to access U.S. markets, creating new trade opportunities.
According to former U.S. President Donald Trump, the United States will collaborate with Pakistan in exploring and developing its vast oil reserves. The primary goal of the agreement is to promote investment and enhance cooperation in mutually beneficial sectors. As a result, tariffs on Pakistani exports to U.S. markets will be reduced.
The agreement paves the way for economic collaboration in energy, minerals, IT, and cryptocurrency sectors. Cnergyico’s refinery has a daily processing capacity of 156,000 barrels, and plans are underway to upgrade the refinery and establish a second offshore terminal in the next five years.
Thanks to the effective efforts of the DFC, this agreement is set to be a catalyst for further collaboration in key industries and contribute to the economic growth of both nations.
