Bangladeshi Model Natasha Pal Arrested in India for Possessing Fake Documents

New Delhi: Bangladeshi YouTuber and model, Shanta Pal, was arrested in Kolkata on charges of possessing multiple counterfeit Indian documents. The arrest took place in the Bikramgarh area, where she had been living in a rented flat.
According to Indian media reports, the police seized two fake Aadhaar cards, a voter ID, a ration card, and a PAN card from the 28-year-old model, all of which were registered under different addresses in West Bengal. Following her arrest, the police revealed that Shanta Pal had overstayed her visa, remaining in India illegally after it expired. She had arrived in Kolkata in 2023.
Indian authorities also claimed that Shanta Pal had been using a network of brokers to acquire fake documents, allowing her to blend in with the local population.
