Saeed Ajmal’s Brilliant Bowling Leads Pakistan to a Dominant 10-Wicket Win Over Australia in Legends Championship

Pakistan Champions delivered a stunning performance in the ongoing World Legends Championship in England, defeating Australia Champions by 10 wickets, thanks to a remarkable spell of bowling by Saeed Ajmal.

On Tuesday, Pakistan won the toss and opted to field first, a decision that paid off handsomely. Australia’s batting line-up crumbled under pressure, and they were bowled out for just 74 runs in the 12th over.

Saeed Ajmal was the star of the match, delivering a devastating spell of 6 wickets for just 16 runs. With this performance, the 47-year-old Ajmal made history, becoming the first bowler to take 5 wickets in a match at the World Legends Championship. His 6-wicket haul is now the best bowling figure in the tournament’s history.

Before Ajmal’s record-breaking performance, the best bowling figures in the tournament were held by West Indies’ Edwards, who took 4 wickets for 11 runs against England Champions in 3 overs.

In response to Australia’s modest total of 75, Pakistan chased down the target effortlessly in just 8 overs, without losing any wickets. Sharjeel Khan scored an unbeaten 32, while Sohaib Maqsood remained not out on 28.

Both teams had already qualified for the semifinals before this match, but Pakistan’s comprehensive win has certainly boosted their confidence heading into the next phase of the tournament.
