Chilas: Body of 3-Year-Old Boy Found After Two Days in Babusar Top Flood

CHILAS:The body of three-year-old Abdullah Hadi, who went missing after being swept away by a flash flood at Babusar Top, was recovered two days later. This incident occurred amid widespread heavy rains and devastating flash floods in the northern areas of the country, causing irreparable damage.

According to local reports, Abdullah Hadi had been with his mother, Dr. Mishal Fatima, on a picnic when the catastrophic flood struck. Following the tragic incident, the young boy was reported missing.

On the evening of July 23, locals in the Dasar area of Babusar reported seeing a body in a stream. They immediately informed the authorities, and Gilgit-Baltistan Scouts responded to the scene. The Scouts retrieved the child’s body from the stream and transported it to a nearby hospital in Chilas.

This tragic incident occurred a few days ago when a family from Lodhran, returning from Skardu, was caught in an unexpected flood at Babusar Top. Dr. Mishal Fatima and her brother-in-law Fahd Islam tragically lost their lives in the flood, while Dr. Mishal’s young son, Abdullah Hadi, was swept away. The search operation for him had been ongoing until his body was finally found.
