KP Chief Minister Rejects Imran Khan’s Arrest, Announces Nationwide Movement from August 5

Peshawar: Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, has declared the arrest and sentencing of PTI founder Imran Khan as unconstitutional and illegal. He announced the launch of a nationwide “Real Freedom Movement” starting from August 5.
In a statement, Gandapur said, “We do not accept the unlawful and unconstitutional arrest and sentencing of Imran Khan. These punishments are an attack on the people’s mandate and the constitution.”
He emphasized that all unlawful decisions taken against PTI must be reversed, adding that those attempting to dismantle the party are now becoming a thing of the past. “We stand with the truth and are ready to make any sacrifice,” he affirmed.
The Chief Minister reiterated that the movement for Pakistan’s “real independence” will begin on August 5.
It is worth noting that just a few days ago, during a press conference in Lahore alongside PTI leaders, Gandapur announced a countrywide campaign for the release of Imran Khan and other detained leaders, vowing to conclude the movement decisively within 90 days.
