Justice Undermined: “Punishments Without Due Legal Process Are Injustice” – Barrister Gohar Ali Khan

Islamabad: Senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and prominent legal expert Barrister Gohar Ali Khan strongly criticized recent judicial proceedings, stating that conducting trials late into the night and awarding punishments without fulfilling legal requirements is a grave miscarriage of justice.
He emphasized that such practices have severely shaken the public’s confidence in the judiciary, adding, “The trust of 250 million people in our courts is eroding rapidly.”
Barrister Gohar further pointed out that fair trial is a cornerstone of justice, yet current practices reflect a blatant disregard for legal norms and constitutional rights. “Trials held in darkness, denial of defense counsel’s arguments, and politically motivated verdicts are becoming a troubling norm,” he said.
He urged the higher judiciary to take urgent notice of these unconstitutional actions and to restore the integrity of the judicial process.
