Senior Journalist Najam Wali Claims Arshad Sharif’s Death Linked to Imran Khan and PTI

Lahore: Senior journalist Najam Wali Khan has raised suspicions about the circumstances surrounding the assassination of renowned journalist Arshad Sharif, suggesting that his death was somehow connected to Imran Khan and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Khan shared a video clip on X (formerly Twitter) featuring PTI’s newly elected senator, Murad Saeed. The clip, reportedly recorded months before Sharif’s tragic death, shows Saeed talking about threats to Sharif’s life. In the video, Saeed mentions, “I have seen threat alerts myself, and letters are circulating, suggesting that there are plans to target Arshad Sharif. It’s rumored that someone has been hired to execute the plan.”
Commenting on the video, Najam Wali Khan questioned, “Who knew two months before Arshad Sharif’s death that he would be killed? And who used him for political gain? All the threads seem to lead back to Imran Khan and his party.”
The claims have sparked a wave of debate over the involvement of political forces in Sharif’s assassination, as the journalist’s tragic death remains shrouded in controversy.
