Contractor Arrested in Kohistan Mega Scandal Remanded to NAB for 7 Days

Peshawar: A contractor arrested in connection with the Kohistan Mega Scandal has been remanded to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for seven days. The arrest followed a series of illegal financial transactions and the discovery of illicit assets tied to the scandal.
According to Express News, contractor Fazal Rahim was presented before the Accountability Court, where the investigation officer requested a 14-day physical remand for further investigation. However, the court granted a 7-day physical remand, handing Rahim over to NAB custody.
The NAB prosecutor told the court that Rahim had conducted bank transactions amounting to Rs. 30 crore in relation to the Kohistan Mega Scandal. Additionally, investigations revealed the presence of illegal assets linked to the accused. Rahim was arrested on July 19 from Kohistan.
So far, 10 individuals have been arrested in connection with the Kohistan Mega Scandal, and further investigations are ongoing.
