Balochistan’s Development a Priority, Says Senior Minister Mir Muhammad Sadiq Umrani

Quetta:Senior Provincial Minister of Balochistan, **Mir Muhammad Sadiq Umrani**, who also serves as a central committee member and parliamentary leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), emphasized the provincial government’s commitment to development and prosperity during a meeting with National Assembly Members **Sardar Fatehullah Khan** and **Naseer Muhammad Khan Madadkhel** at his office in Quetta.
During the meeting, the leaders discussed various **political, social, and regional matters**. Minister Umrani stated that the **coalition government of Balochistan is making sincere efforts** toward the province’s progress, which are beginning to yield positive results. Sardar Fatehullah Khan appreciated the efforts of Minister Umrani and the provincial government, expressing hope that Balochistan would soon emerge as a **model province** through sustained development.
Separately, on Monday, Mir Muhammad Sadiq Umrani chaired an **introductory meeting** at the office of the Secretary for Irrigation. The session included newly appointed **Secretary of Irrigation Saleh Muhammad Nasir**, along with **Chief Engineers** Nasser Majeed, Basheer Tareen, Barkat Ali, and Muhammad Akram. **Provincial Coordinator Irrigation Sami Baloch** and **Deputy Secretary Technical** also participated.
During the meeting, the officials briefed the minister and the new secretary on departmental affairs in their respective regions and presented various proposals for improvement.
Secretary Saleh Muhammad Nasir assured the attendees of his full commitment, stating, “Working as a team, we will leave no stone unturned in enhancing the performance of the Irrigation Department.”
