Gold Prices Surge in Pakistan Reflecting Global Market Trend

KARACHI: On Thursday, June 26, 2025, gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a significant increase, mirroring the upward trend in international markets.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, the price of gold per tola rose by Rs 1,335, bringing the new rate to Rs 356,000 per tola. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs 1,144, closing at Rs 305,212.
This sharp increase follows a modest rise on Wednesday, when the per tola rate climbed by Rs 300 to reach Rs 354,665.
On the global front, gold prices also saw a slight uptick. The All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association reported that the international gold price increased by $13, reaching $3,343 per ounce — this includes a $20 premium.
Meanwhile, silver prices in the local market also surged, with an increase of Rs 86 per tola, bringing the rate to Rs 3,850.
