NAB Implements AI Technology to Accelerate Financial Corruption Investigations

Islamabad:The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has launched the use of advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to enhance the speed and effectiveness of its investigations into financial corruption. This new technology aims to analyze complex financial data in a more efficient and transparent manner.
According to sources, NAB has begun utilizing AI systems to examine banking records, financial transactions, and money trails in major financial cases. The AI-driven approach allows for the rapid and thorough identification of hidden connections and suspicious transactions in the data.
A team from NAB recently visited the National Center for Artificial Intelligence (NCAI) in Islamabad and met with Dr. Yasir Ayaz, Chairman of NCAI. During this meeting, the two sides discussed upgrading the investigative system to international standards, developing AI-based investigative modules, and providing technical assistance.
Dr. Yasir Ayaz praised NAB’s efforts to ensure the effective use of modern technology in investigations and assured full cooperation, stating that NCAI would provide all possible technical support to help NAB become Pakistan’s most advanced law enforcement agency.
A NAB spokesperson stated that the agency is utilizing cutting-edge resources and technology to recover public funds and take decisive action against corrupt elements. The spokesperson emphasized that the use of AI will make investigations faster, more transparent, and results-driven.
Sources also indicated that the collaboration between NAB and NCAI will lead to the development of automated investigative systems in the future, which will play a key role in the timely identification and prevention of large-scale financial networks and money laundering operations.
