Trump’s Bizarre Questions During Meeting With Juventus Team Raise Eyebrows

Washington D.C.: During a recent meeting at the White House, former U.S. President Donald Trump left players of the renowned Italian football club Juventus puzzled with a series of unexpected and controversial questions.
The meeting, attended by Juventus players and FIFA President Gianni Infantino, took an unusual turn when Trump asked whether a transgender woman could join their team and whether such players should be allowed to compete. The question reportedly left several team members visibly surprised.
Juventus forward Timothy Weah described the situation as “weird and irrelevant,” adding, “I just want to play football—I’m not interested in politics.”
When asked for clarification, Juventus General Manager Damien Comolli declined to comment in detail, simply stating, “We already have a women’s team.”
In another unexpected move, Trump also brought up the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict during the meeting, a topic many felt was out of place in a sports-related gathering. Despite the awkward moments, FIFA President Infantino called the meeting “a positive engagement.”
Trump’s remarks quickly went viral, drawing criticism on social media for being inappropriate and politically charged. This isn’t the first time Trump has been criticized for his stance on transgender rights—in his previous term, he imposed a ban on transgender individuals serving in the U.S. military and working in certain federal roles.
