BISP Launches New Retail Payment Model from June 16 to Ensure Dignified, Convenient Cash Disbursement

Islamabad: The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has officially launched its new Retail Payment Model across Pakistan from Monday, June 16, 2025, aimed at delivering financial assistance to beneficiaries in a more transparent, dignified, and weather-safe manner, particularly in regions facing extreme heat.
According to Pakistan’s official news agency APP, this new system moves away from the traditional camp-based disbursement method, offering a modern, efficient, and accessible payment mechanism closer to beneficiaries’ homes.
As part of preparations for the disbursement of the fourth quarterly installment, BISP Additional Secretary Dr. Tahir Noor visited Khanewal district to assess on-ground readiness. He inspected the facilities and met with local BISP teams and partner banks to ensure smooth implementation of the new payment model.
Dr. Noor explained that the retail model offers features such as biometric verification, designated payment points, and printed receipts, ensuring each beneficiary receives their full entitled amount securely and respectfully. He emphasized BISP’s commitment to providing convenient and dignified financial services.
He instructed partner banks to ensure that all retail outlets are fully operational, equipped with trained staff, biometric devices, stable internet connectivity, and clearly displayed awareness materials to guide beneficiaries.
BISP field teams have also been directed to conduct awareness campaigns to educate the public on how to use the new system and where to collect their payments.
Last week, Dr. Noor visited Multan and Bahawalpur, reviewing preparations and holding coordination meetings with regional BISP officials and banking representatives.
He stressed the importance of coordination among BISP staff, partner banks, local administration, and beneficiaries to ensure timely, secure, and respectful delivery of financial aid to every eligible individual.
How to Receive BISP Payment Under the New Retail Model:
