Pakistan-Iran Rajay Point Closed by Iranian Authorities Amid Rising Tensions with Israel

Quetta:In light of the escalating conflict between Iran and Israel, Iranian authorities have shut down the Pak-Iran Rajay Point located near Chagai, halting all forms of movement at this crossing point. According to sources, the closure comes as a precautionary measure in response to the ongoing geopolitical tensions in the region.

The district administration of Chagai confirmed that Iranian authorities have temporarily closed the Rajay Point until further notice. However, the transit and passport gates at the border city of Taftan, located near Chagai, remain operational as usual.

In addition to the Rajay Point, the pedestrian border crossing points at Daan, Chidgi, and Jirak Prom have also been closed indefinitely. These measures have been implemented due to the heightened security concerns resulting from the increasing conflict between Iran and Israel, as well as the broader instability in the Middle East.

According to the district administration of Panjgur, these closures are being enforced as precautionary steps to avoid any potential security threats arising from the ongoing regional tensions. The notification issued by the administration has confirmed that not only pedestrian movement is prohibited, but the delivery of fuel via these crossing points has also been completely suspended.

Deputy Commissioner of Panjgur mentioned that these actions are being taken in response to the uncertain security situation in Iran and the international tensions that have been brewing due to the conflict. The administration has urged the public to cooperate with local authorities and refrain from unnecessary movement in order to prevent any unforeseen emergencies.

Sources indicate that these restrictions will remain in place until the situation stabilizes. The growing tensions between Iran and Israel are now being felt at the border regions, further complicating the already fragile security and economic situation in the area.
