450 Pakistani Pilgrims Evacuated from Iran Amidst Iran-Israel Conflict: Ishaq Dar

Islamabad: Following the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel, Pakistan has successfully evacuated 450 Pakistani pilgrims stranded in Iran. The evacuation efforts were completed recently, with further plans in place to facilitate the safe departure of Pakistani students residing in Iran.
In a message posted on the social media platform X, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar confirmed that the government of Pakistan is taking all necessary steps to ensure the safety and well-being of its citizens amidst the current regional tensions.
He stated, “The evacuation of 450 Pakistani pilgrims from Iran was completed yesterday, and arrangements are also being made for the safe evacuation of Pakistani students from Iran. In the first phase, 154 students will be evacuated.”
Ishaq Dar further mentioned that Pakistani pilgrims stranded in Iraq, due to airspace closures, are in constant contact with the Pakistani Embassy in Iran. Efforts are being made to ensure their safe accommodation and potential evacuation.
He added that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Crisis Management Unit (CMU) is operational 24/7 to address any emergencies.

Deputy Prime Minister Dar also noted that Pakistan’s embassies in the region are actively overseeing all evacuation and support efforts for Pakistani citizens and pilgrims.
