Lahore:Popular Pakistani YouTuber and social media personality **Rajab Butt**, known for extravagant celebrations, has once again drawn public attention and criticism — this time for hosting a **lavish aqiqah ceremony** for his niece, **Ayat Zahra**.

Videos from the event, now viral on social media, show Rajab Butt and his family showering money on the newborn in a grand celebration. Friends and relatives can be seen throwing large amounts of cash into the air, while the gathering appears more festive than spiritual, prompting widespread backlash.

Social media users condemned the event as a **show of vulgar wealth**. Many questioned the source of the money, with comments such as *“If this were halal money, it wouldn’t be wasted like this”* and *“This has nothing to do with Islamic tradition or aqiqah.”*

One user, **Mohsin Ikram**, commented, *“Why the display of wealth?”*, while another, **Sidra Arain**, wrote, *“Some people are so mentally poor, all they have is money.”* Several users labeled the family as **ignorant** for turning a religious ceremony into a spectacle.
