Pakistan Condemns Israeli Airstrikes on Beirut and Southern Lebanon

Islamabad, June 5, 2025: Pakistan strongly condemned the Israeli airstrikes on Beirut and southern Lebanese suburbs, which took place on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. The airstrikes, Pakistan stated, are a blatant violation of international law, Lebanon’s sovereignty, and the November 24 ceasefire agreement.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that these attacks are not only a violation of international law but also jeopardize the lives of civilians, promote regional instability, and undermine efforts for lasting peace.
The Foreign Office also expressed solidarity with the Lebanese government and people in this difficult time. Pakistan called upon the international community, especially the United Nations and mediators of the ceasefire, to hold the Israeli occupying forces accountable and take immediate action to prevent further escalation of tensions.
Pakistan reaffirmed its commitment to peace, justice, and the principles of international law.
