Hot Weather in Plains, Rain Expected in Northern Areas During Eid Holidays: PMD

KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather forecast for the Eid holidays, warning of extremely hot conditions in the plains while predicting rainfall in the northern regions.
According to the PMD, while most plains across the country will experience intense heat, areas such as Dir, Swat, Chitral, and Kohistan are likely to receive rain. The department has advised tourists and travelers to exercise caution, as strong winds and heavy rain may damage weak infrastructure.
A weather advisory states that starting this evening, upper parts of the country may witness rainfall accompanied by gusty winds. Rain and strong winds are expected particularly on June 3 and 4.
From today until June 5, areas including Murree, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Chitral, Dir, and Swat are likely to receive rain. Additionally, on June 3 and 4, rain is forecast for Islamabad, upper and central Punjab, and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Some areas may also experience hailstorms along with rain.
