Meta AI Crosses 1 Billion Users, Zuckerberg Eyes Entertainment and Paid Features

Silicon Valley:Meta’s artificial intelligence assistant, **Meta AI**, has surpassed the milestone of **one billion monthly users**, according to CEO **Mark Zuckerberg**.
Speaking to shareholders, Zuckerberg revealed that Meta AI—integrated across the company’s platforms such as **Facebook**, **Instagram**, and **WhatsApp**—has seen explosive adoption since the launch of its standalone app in **April 2025**.
“Our focus this year is to make Meta AI the best assistant for **entertainment, audio chat**, and more,” Zuckerberg stated, hinting at the company’s broader ambitions in the AI space. He also suggested the possibility of introducing **paid subscription services** for enhanced AI features in the future.
While Zuckerberg did not provide a detailed breakdown of usage patterns, **Meta CFO Susan Li** clarified that **WhatsApp** currently leads in Meta AI usage among the company’s apps. However, questions remain about whether users are actively engaging with Meta AI for productivity or simply encountering it during casual use on social platforms.
