Breakthrough in Quetta: Lawyers and District Administration Reach Agreement, MPO Order Withdrawn

Quetta:Negotiations between the lawyers’ community and the district administration have concluded successfully. As a result, Commissioner Quetta, Hamza Shafqaat, has officially withdrawn the Section 3 MPO (Maintenance of Public Order) order that was previously issued.

In a related development, the Quetta District Jail has issued release orders for Muhammad Mustafa, who had been in custody for 30 days. He was detained under Section 3(1) of the Balochistan Maintenance of Public Order Ordinance, 1960.

The agreement marks a significant de-escalation in tensions, showcasing the effectiveness of dialogue and legal engagement between civil society and the administration.
