Gold Prices Drop Sharply in Pakistan Amid Global Market Decline

KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan saw a significant decrease on Monday, reflecting the downward trend in international markets. Until the release of updated midday rates, trading in the local market will continue at Sunday’s prices.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs 2,600, bringing it down to Rs 351,500. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold fell by Rs 2,228, now standing at Rs 301,354.
This drop follows a notable increase recorded on Saturday when gold prices surged by Rs 3,100 per tola, reaching a high of Rs 354,100.
In the international market, gold prices also saw a decline, with the price per ounce falling by $26 to settle at $3,331.
Meanwhile, the price of silver in the local market remained unchanged at Rs 3,508 per tola.
