Speaker of National Assembly, Ayaz Sadiq, Celebrates 74 Years of Pak-China Friendship and Strong Bilateral Ties
Islamabad:Speaker of the National Assembly, Ayaz Sadiq, has described the friendship between Pakistan and China as “timeless,” stating that their relationship is based on mutual trust, respect, and brotherhood, growing stronger with each passing day.
Speaking at a ceremony in Islamabad to mark the 74th anniversary of Pak-China diplomatic relations, Sadiq praised the enduring partnership between the two nations, emphasizing that it has stood the test of time. He described the bond as being “higher than mountains, deeper than seas, and sweeter than honey.”
Sadiq further noted that the Pak-China partnership has become a symbol of stability, development, and regional security, with Pakistan taking pride in China’s progress in the fields of economy, defense, and science and technology.
He pointed out that the defense collaboration between the two countries forms the foundation of Pakistan’s strategic strength, highlighting key assets such as the JF-17 Thunder, J-10C, and PL-15 missiles as a reflection of Pakistan’s robust defense capabilities.
The Speaker also referred to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as a living testament to their friendship, asserting that the One Belt One Road (OBOR) initiative ensures the development of the entire region.
Sadiq emphasized that both nations are reliable partners in their shared journey toward development and prosperity, stressing that their ties will continue to withstand future challenges.
During the ceremony, Ayaz Sadiq also condemned the recent terrorist attack on a school bus in Khuzdar, which resulted in the loss of six precious lives, including four children. He expressed deep sorrow and sympathy for the affected families, vowing that Pakistan would not let the blood of innocent children go in vain. He called the attack a crime against humanity and reiterated the commitment to taking robust action against the terrorists responsible.
The Speaker also praised the Pakistan Armed Forces for their decisive response to India’s recent aggression, acknowledging their successful defense of Pakistan’s air, land, and sea borders. He declared that the courage and success of the armed forces are a source of pride for the entire nation.
