SBP Reports Over 8,800 New Roshan Digital Accounts Opened in April, Inflows Reach \$177 Million

Karachi:The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has released the latest data on Roshan Digital Accounts (RDA), revealing that 8,802 new accounts were opened by overseas Pakistanis in April 2025 alone. These accounts attracted deposits totaling \$177 million during the month.

According to the SBP, the cumulative number of Roshan Digital Accounts has now reached **814,244**, since the initiative’s launch in 2020. Over the span of **56 months**, total inflows into RDAs have surpassed **\$10.18 billion**.

Out of the total deposits, approximately **\$6.5 billion** have been utilized within Pakistan, contributing to the country’s economy through investments, bill payments, and purchases. Additionally, nearly **\$1.75 billion** have been repatriated by account holders to their countries of residence.

The Roshan Digital Account initiative, launched to facilitate non-resident Pakistanis (NRPs) in remotely accessing banking services and investing in Pakistan, continues to play a crucial role in mobilizing foreign exchange and boosting investor confidence.
