Bilawal Bhutto: PM Offered Unbiased Probe into Pahalgam Incident, Pakistan Was Removed from FATF Grey List During My Tenure

Islamabad: Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has stated that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has already offered India a neutral investigation into the recent Pahalgam incident, and emphasized that similar baseless allegations have been made against Pakistan in the past.
Speaking to the British news outlet BBC, Bilawal Bhutto highlighted that during the time he served as Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, the country was removed from the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) grey list — a development that signified international recognition of Pakistan’s efforts to sever ties with banned organizations.
“When I was not the Foreign Minister, Pakistan was on the FATF grey list,” Bilawal said. “During my tenure, we achieved our removal from it, which means the global community accepted that Pakistan is not linked with such groups.”
Commenting on the current tensions with India, Bilawal criticized New Delhi for taking “emotional and irrational steps.” He reiterated Pakistan’s stance that any attempt to revoke the Indus Waters Treaty would be considered an act of war.
He stressed that the offer for an impartial investigation into the Pahalgam incident stands and urged for rational diplomacy over unfounded accusations.
