ANF Foils Major International Drug Smuggling Attempt in Gwadar, Seizes 720 Kg of Hashish

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) successfully thwarted a major attempt at international drug smuggling in Gwadar, recovering 720 kilograms of high-quality hashish.
According to the ANF spokesperson, the narcotics were being transported from Panjgur to Gwadar, with plans to smuggle them onward to Tanzania and Yemen. The operation was part of a targeted effort against a well-organized international network.
Based on intelligence reports, ANF teams intercepted a suspicious Hino truck and a Prado vehicle near Jiwani Cross, Gwadar. Upon inspection, authorities discovered a significant haul of export-quality hashish cleverly concealed within the floors of the vehicles.
Two suspects were arrested on the spot. The ANF’s effective intelligence operations and strategic planning were crucial in preventing this major smuggling attempt.
Following the arrests, ongoing operations are underway to apprehend other individuals involved in the network, including drug suppliers. The ANF reiterated its commitment to a zero-tolerance policy against drug networks, and a case has been registered against the arrested suspects under the Anti-Narcotics Act, with investigations actively progressing.
