Lawyers’ Sit-Ins Continue Across Sindh Against Canal Projects from Indus River

Sukkur: Lawyers’ sit-ins against the project to extract canals from the Indus River are ongoing at various locations across Sindh.
According to details, the sit-in at Baberlo Bypass in Khairpur has entered its **tenth day**.
The protests, including the blockade at Baberlo Bypass, have **completely halted goods transport** between Sindh and Punjab, causing trucks and trailers carrying food supplies and other goods to be stranded.
Transporters have reported **severe difficulties** due to the intense heat, with perishable goods **beginning to spoil** inside the vehicles.
Meanwhile, Sindh’s Interior Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar has appealed to the protestors to **end the sit-in** at Baberlo Bypass, emphasizing that people across the country are suffering due to the blockade.
He further stated that **there are no plans** to use force against the participants of the sit-in.
