Punjab Government’s Major Announcement for Farmers: Wheat De-Regulation and Free Market Policy Approved

The Punjab government has made a significant announcement for farmers, with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz approving the de-regulation and free market policy for wheat. This policy aims to facilitate the transportation of wheat and improve the overall agricultural market system in the province.
Farmers in Punjab now have official permission for the unrestricted movement of wheat. There will be no more restrictions on the transportation of wheat across inter-provincial borders, which is expected to help farmers maximize the benefits of their wheat harvest.
For the first time in Punjab, the private sector will be involved in wheat procurement, providing an additional opportunity for farmers to sell their produce at competitive market rates. This move is part of the government’s broader strategy to ensure that the agricultural sector thrives and that farmers receive fair compensation for their produce.
The approval of this policy is being hailed as a step forward in boosting the agricultural economy of Punjab and improving the livelihoods of local farmers.
