New Prices of Steel Bars and Cement Revealed in Pakistan

Islamabad: The latest prices for construction steel bars and cement have been revealed in the country. According to market sources, the minimum price of local steel bars today is Rs. 226,000 per ton, with the maximum price reaching Rs. 232,000 per ton. In Karachi, the price of steel bars per ton stands at Rs. 232,000, while in Lahore, it is Rs. 228,000, and in Multan, it is Rs. 226,000.
In Islamabad, the price of steel bars per ton is Rs. 230,000, and in Faisalabad, it is recorded at Rs. 226,000. On the other hand, branded steel bars in the market have a minimum price of Rs. 244,000 per ton, with the maximum price reaching Rs. 254,000 per ton.
It is noteworthy that since November, the average price of construction steel bars has decreased by Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 8,000 per ton. At the beginning of 2024, the price of steel bars in the country reached Rs. 305,000 per ton, but following a decrease in the value of the dollar, the price of construction steel bars has dropped by Rs. 50,000 per ton on an annual basis.
