Electricity Disruptions in Quetta During Iftar Despite Promises by QESCO

Power outages continued to affect Quetta city and surrounding areas during iftar, despite claims by Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply during Ramadan, particularly during sehri, iftar, and taraweeh hours.
QESCO had assured that there would be no load-shedding in Quetta city and all district headquarters during these times. However, power outages were reported in several areas, especially in rural and agricultural feeder lines, which continued to follow their previous schedules.
To monitor the situation, QESCO has established a regional control room at its headquarters, which is responsible for ensuring a continuous power supply during sehri, iftar, and taraweeh hours. Additionally, QESCO’s line staff in all subdivisions remain on alert to address any technical issues promptly.
Consumers are encouraged to lodge complaints regarding power supply issues by calling 118, sending an SMS to 8118, or contacting the central complaint cell at (0819201445).
QESCO has also appealed to consumers to turn off unnecessary electrical appliances during sehri, iftar, and taraweeh to ensure the smooth supply of electricity for all users.
