Public Optimism About Pakistan’s Economy Reaches Six-Year High

According to a recent survey conducted by Ipsos, public optimism regarding Pakistan’s economy has reached its highest level in six years. The survey revealed that 31% of the population now believes that the country’s economic direction is on the right track, a significant improvement compared to only 2% in September 2023.
The survey indicates that economic improvement has been observed across all four provinces, as well as in urban and rural areas, including Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir.
Furthermore, inflation has decreased by 18%, marking the lowest rate in four years, while consumer confidence in household purchases has tripled.
The survey also noted a 19% increase in job security confidence, which is now at its highest level ever. This suggests a growing sense of stability and hope for Pakistan’s economic future among the public.
