Mahira Hussain Reveals She Had Signed Three Bollywood Films Before Political Tensions Led to Their Cancellation

Pakistani actress Mahira Hussain has revealed that before the release of her Bollywood film *Sanam Teri Kasam*, she had signed three more films in India. However, due to the political tensions between Pakistan and India, she had to withdraw from all three projects.

In an interview, Mahira shared that she had been offered three projects in India, and she was planning to move there permanently. She had even ordered some furniture for her new home. However, due to the escalating political situation between the two countries, she was forced to return to Pakistan.

The actress mentioned that the shooting for one of the films was just 10 days away, and her birthday was approaching. She was very excited to celebrate her birthday on the film set, but due to unfortunate events, she had to come back to Pakistan.

Mahira refrained from sharing specific details about the films she had signed, explaining that she would not discuss the projects she wasn’t part of, as many talented actors were involved, and those projects were meant to be their destiny. She further said that the projects she is now part of were written in her fate.

It’s worth mentioning that Mahira’s romantic Bollywood film *Sanam Teri Kasam* was re-released and performed exceptionally well at the Indian box office. The film, which was originally released in 2016 but did not perform well at the box office, has now grossed 25.16 crore rupees in just five days, surpassing films like Himesh Reshammiya’s *BE-R* and *Loyapa*.

This was Mahira’s first and last Bollywood film. Afterward, she appeared in the Pakistani film *Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2* and later focused on her TV career. She holds a law degree from the University of London but chose to put her legal career aside to focus on her acting profession.
