Champions Trophy 2025 Kicks Off in Pakistan with High Hopes and Security Measures

The much-awaited Champions Trophy 2025 officially begins today, with Pakistan facing New Zealand in the opening match at the National Stadium in Karachi. Shah Sahab Sulaiman Road will remain open from both sides. Additionally, specific parking arrangements have been made for fans traveling from various parts of the city.

Fans coming from areas like Karasaz, Millenium, and New Town will have designated parking spaces near the National Coaching Center and China Ground, as outlined in the traffic plan.

**What Fans Cannot Bring to the Stadium:**

Fans attending the Champions Trophy matches must adhere to the strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). According to the guidelines, power banks, airpods, gutka, or any chewing tobacco are not allowed inside the stadium. Additionally, bringing food, beverages, or water bottles into the stadium is prohibited. Fans are advised to bring their original CNIC and a printed copy of their tickets, as online tickets or soft copies will not be accepted.

**India’s Refusal to Play in Pakistan:**

Initially, the Champions Trophy faced controversy due to India’s refusal to play in Pakistan, insisting on neutral venues for their matches. As a result, India’s matches will be held in Dubai, while the tournament will take place in Pakistan until March 9, 2025.
