A video of renowned singer Chahat Fateh Ali Khan and Pakistani actress Meera performing the song “Badubadi” has gone viral on social media, sparking widespread attention. In the video, both can be seen singing the classic tune, with viewers sharing mixed reactions. Some fans have praised Meera’s voice, calling her more melodious than Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, while others have jokingly suggested that the duo should consider marriage.
Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, who gained popularity for his unique rendition of the Punjabi song “Akh Lari Badubadi,” first gained fame after his version of the track went viral. The song was originally performed by the legendary playback singer Noor Jehan in the 1973 Pakistani film *Banarasi Thug*. “Akh Lari Badubadi” remains one of the most beloved songs in the history of Pakistani music, despite many other artists attempting to perform it before Chahat Fateh Ali Khan without receiving significant recognition.
Following the success of the song, Chahat Fateh Ali Khan also released a remix titled “Badubadi 2,” blending his earlier hit with the popular ’90s track *Nachan Gay Saari Raat Sonia Ve*.
The viral video of Chahat Fateh Ali Khan and Meera has not only revived interest in the iconic song but also brought their collaboration into the limelight, with social media users showering them with both praise and playful suggestions.
