Pakistan’s Foreign Exchange Reserves Decrease After Previous Week’s Increase

Following last week’s increase, Pakistan’s foreign exchange liquid reserves have reported a slight decrease during the concluding week.
As of February 7, 2025, Pakistan’s total liquid foreign exchange reserves amounted to $11,166.6 million, which saw a minor reduction by the end of the week.
**Details of Foreign Exchange Reserves:**
The reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) stood at $11,166.6 million, while the net reserves held by commercial banks amounted to $4,696.0 million, bringing the total liquid reserves to $15,862.6 million.
However, during the week ending February 7, 2025, the SBP reserves decreased by $252 million due to external debt repayments, bringing the reserves down to $11,166.6 million.
