Karachi:A video of a heated exchange between actor Feroze Khan and a female journalist has gone viral on social media after the actor arrived two and a half hours late for a press conference. In the video, the journalist expressed frustration over the actor’s delay, which caused many media representatives to leave before the event began.
The journalist pointed out that the media had been instructed to arrive promptly at 3 PM, but due to Feroze Khan’s tardiness, most had already left. She also emphasized that celebrities’ fame is a result of both media support and their fans. In response, Feroze Khan interrupted, questioning if the media really makes stars, stating that the media has been against him for the past three years.
To justify his late arrival, Feroze Khan explained that there was no hot water at his home, which delayed his attendance. The journalist, however, expressed disbelief at this explanation, to which the actor insisted that he was not joking, and indeed, there was no hot water at his home.
Following the incident, Feroze Khan’s sister, actress Hamima Malik, took to social media to defend her brother. In a video shared on Instagram, Hamima said that it is the fans who make an actor a star, not the media. She added that media is merely a platform through which stars reach their audience.
Hamima’s statement sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some users agreeing with her, while others criticized her and pointed out that fans are made through media platforms as well. Some users even accused the entire family of seeking attention through such controversies.
This latest exchange has brought Feroze Khan and his family back into the limelight, with ongoing debates about the role of media in a celebrity’s career.
