MS of Civil Hospital Quetta Takes Immediate Action Against Sweeper for Misconduct in Gynaecology Labor Room

Quetta: An incident of physical altercation, money demands, and refusal to hand over a baby to the family in the Gynaecology labor room at Civil Hospital Quetta led to swift action by the Medical Superintendent (MS).*

A complaint was received on the public grievance contact number of Civil Hospital Quetta regarding the behavior of a sweeper, identified as Kausar Mushtaq, who allegedly engaged in a scuffle with patients and their attendants, demanded money, and refused to hand over a newborn to the family.

Upon receiving the complaint, MS Civil Hospital Dr. Hadi Kakar took immediate action and handed over the sweeper to the police. This is not the first time such complaints have surfaced regarding money demands in the hospital. Previous incidents have also led to investigations and the dismissal of involved staff based on the inquiry committee’s findings.

Dr. Kakar stated that the hospital’s stance is clear: strict action will be taken against anyone involved in such unethical practices. He emphasized that any interference in official duties will be dealt with severely, and the hospital remains committed to rooting out such activities.
