PTI’s Shoaib Yousafzai Calls for Discipline in Party, Criticizes Government’s Economic Policies

Former PTI Minister Shoaib Yousafzai has stressed the need for discipline within the party following the chaos witnessed at the Swabi rally. Speaking on a private news channel, Yousafzai emphasized that while personal grievances within the party are natural, it is crucial to restore order, especially after the disorder at the recent gathering.*

Yousafzai, addressing concerns over the internal dynamics of the party, mentioned that he had personally advised his colleague, Sher Afzal Marwat, to maintain control over his actions. He further stated that despite occasional disagreements, the party needs to focus on discipline and unity. He expressed confidence that Juned Akbar will play a significant role in maintaining order within the party.

On the failed negotiations between the opposition and the government, Yousafzai criticized the ruling party for using inflammatory rhetoric that fuels tension. He claimed that if the government were genuinely concerned about the country’s well-being, they would have formed a judicial commission instead of resorting to political tactics. He also pointed out the excessive deployment of police to prevent peaceful protests, questioning whether the government viewed peaceful demonstrations as acts of terrorism.

Yousafzai also condemned the government’s economic policies, particularly its inability to prevent inflation despite claims of economic growth. He argued that if the government had saved the country from default, it would have had the support of the public, but instead, rising prices and increasing sugar costs have left the population dissatisfied.

His comments reflect growing dissatisfaction within the party ranks and a continued critique of the government’s handling of economic and political matters.
