Sardar Akhtar Mengal Condemns Abduction of Asma Baloch and Calls for Immediate Action
Quetta:The leader of the Balochistan National Party, Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal, has strongly condemned the abduction of Asma Baloch from the Khuzdar Police Lines, describing it as an intolerable and unforgivable act in Baloch society. He expressed deep concern, stating that not only youth and the elderly but now even women are being abducted, questioning the current state of law and order.
Sardar Mengal emphasized that this incident has violated Baloch tribal customs, which strictly forbid the abduction of women and the humiliation of their families. He criticized the authorities for their failure to take swift action, stating that two days have passed since Asma’s abduction and the administration is yet to file an FIR, remaining silent and inactive.
He further expressed solidarity with Asma Baloch’s family, stating that he and his party stand by them during this difficult time. Mengal urged immediate action against those involved in the abduction and their facilitators, warning that the ruling authorities will not be able to escape public anger and resentment if they fail to act swiftly.
